Join the American Alliance of Paralegals, the national paralegal association that continues to set standards that others follow. The American Alliance was the first to host the National Paralegal Summit, the first to host a webinar, and the first to set educational standards for voting membership. The successful leadership of the American Alliance has been echoed by other paralegal organizations and proprietary educational groups, thus affirming the old adage that copying someone else is the highest form of flattery. The Alliance Echo is a quarterly newsletter provided to our members. It contains information regarding the American Alliance Certification Program (AACP), news articles, legislation updates, and other information affecting the paralegal profession. It also provides important dates for upcoming paralegal seminars and conferences, in addition to recognizing new members of the American Alliance. The Alliance Echo contains articles written by members of the American Alliance as well as other legal sources. In order to become a Member of the American Alliance, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree and two years paralegal experience
- Bachelor’s degree and a two-year paralegal certificate
- An Associate’s degree, a two-year paralegal certificate, and two years paralegal experience
- An Associate’s degree and four years paralegal experience
- A paralegal certificate and six years current paralegal experience
If you do not meet the above criteria, you may join the American Alliance as an associate member.
Sustaining membership is also available (law firms, educators, corporations, etc.).
Sponsors and vendors may also join the American Alliance.
Annual Membership Dues:
Member - $20.00/year
Associate member - $20.00/year
Sustaining member - $50.00/year
Sponsor/vendor - $200.00/year
